Coaching and Supervision

Coaching and supervision are not medical treatment and are not covered by insurance. If you need medical treatment, we will help you make a psychiatric appointment or with a referral.

Coaching is right for you if you are not seeking formal psychiatric care.  Coaching is for those who would like to speak with a mental health professional to work on specific goals.  Unlike therapy, coaching is does not dive deep into childhood relationships or revisit traumas.  It is focused on overcoming current conflicts or difficulties. Some people have a specific question for a single appointment, while others prefer to have ongoing sessions.  Dr. Wang specializes in the following topics:

  • Navigating the dating world
  • Romantic relationships
  • Divorce/break-up
  • Work/school and life balance
  • Toxic work environment
  • Shame/Guilt or feeling lost
  • Self empowerment
  • Adjusting to a new environment/situation
  • Approach to disagreements
  • Overcoming adversity
  • Grief and loss
  • Infertility and reproductive health
  • Gender and sexuality
  • Coping with recent events

In addition to coaching, Dr. Wang is experienced in supervising other medical and mental health professionals.  Supervision is used to discuss professional issues, such as burn-out, inter-professional relationships, business side of medicine, working with patients with high demands, doing psychotherapy, and other topics related to professional development.  This is for medical students, doctors, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

To make a coaching/supervision appointment, please fill out the new visit form then book your appointment at the appointment portal; select the “Coaching/Supervision” option.
